Particle Dynamics has engaged our firm to find a talented Accounting / Financial Analyst to contribute to their growth and ongoing success. Reporting to the CFO, this position is an integral part of the finance team and a true business partner to the leadership team and supply and demand functions. In this role you will support Particle Dynamics in forecasting revenue and expenses accurately. You will provide data, analyses, and leverage financial models to inform decision making of the senior management team and support the company-wide planning process. What you’ll do

  • Assist the monthly financial close and management reporting, budget to actuals, forecasting, and planning activities for the business
  • Analysis of financial and non-financial information relating to the cost of acquiring and consuming resources including cost and profitability analysis by product line
  • Create and maintain complex financial models (pro forma, scenario-based, etc.)
  • Create and update executive presentations
  • Manage and report KPIs through visualizations to executives and cross-functional teams
  • Support sales team with sales forecasting, sales analysis, and pricing analysis
  • Support operations teams with standard cost development, cost analysis and capital expenditures analysis
  • Special assignment, projects, and process improvement initiatives

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with comparable responsibilities and/or public accounting assignments for a manufacturing-oriented industry
  • Strong interest in advancing your career for a manufacturing enterprise
  • Bias toward action – a self-starter who is comfortable advancing the ball with minimal direction or oversight
  • Flexibility and an appetite for continuous learning
  • Superior attention to detail – must display the highest levels of consistency and accuracy in work
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey financial concepts to both financial and non-financial audiences
  • High aptitude and excellent analytical skills for complex problem solving and financial modeling
  • Established experience with enterprise business software applications, relational databases, and report writers
  • Advanced experience with financial modeling using Excel including pivot tables
  • Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint to create and edit reports and presentations

Bonus points

  • MBA, CPA, or CMA is a plus
  • Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise

Location

  • Based at the Particle Dynamics office in Chesterfield, Missouri (St. Louis County)
  • Limited travel required primarily to Particle Dynamics site in Seymour, Indiana, or for periodic business meetings
